Jesse is a Pennsylvania native and Army combat veteran. He led and trained the teams that made the first sale of medical marijuana in both Pennsylvania and Ohio. While serving as the New Store Opening Director, for a large MSO, he met his wife, Carrie. The two of them combined their experience to create Black Bear Hemp Dispensary. Since opening the first location in Grove City PA in the Summer of 2021, Black Bear has been able to give back to the community, volunteer, and help change the stigma around cannabis. Jesse serves as Black Bear’s COO and oversees all day-to-day operations, including regulatory, compliance, business strategy, and operational excellence. He genuinely believes enjoying what you do every day and doing something that makes a difference in the quality of other’s lives is the secret to success. He sums that approach up in four simple words, “have fun, sell weed.”
With over 12 years of working in the cannabis industry, Carrie Worsk brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. Having held roles in both the retail and wholesale side of the business, she brings a diverse understanding of the cultivation, production and dispensing realms of the cannabis market. With 4 years spent as an institute instructor, she can easily explain many of the unique facets of cannabis use as a solution for health and wellness.
Carrie’s roles include overseeing our social media platforms, enhancing the customer shopping experience (both in store and online), and educating our local communities on all that Black Bear has to offer. She strives to create content that is educational and engaging, utilizing her vast understanding of the medicinal properties of cannabis to help fortify the Black Bear Hemp Dispensary experience.
